Brian Fredkin serves clients in the firm’s estate planning and trust administration group. His experience in trust and estate administration enables him to design estate plans of all types and sophistication.
Prior to joining Hartog, Baer & Hand, Mr. Fredkin practiced in Los Angeles and Orange County, where he focused on estate planning and trust and estate administration for individuals and estates of all sizes. Mr. Fredkin has drafted revocable trusts, wills, advanced health care directives, and durable powers of attorney. He has also prepared and reviewed estate and gift tax returns, has obtained Private Letter Rulings, and has represented taxpayers in property tax reassessment disputes.
Mr. Fredkin is a 1999 graduate of Claremont McKenna College (Dean’s List), a 2003 graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law, and a 2008 graduate of USC (Master of Business Taxation). While at USC, Mr. Fredkin was awarded the Tax Executives Institute, Inc. Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement (Los Angeles Chapter). Super Lawyers named Mr. Fredkin a 2017 Rising Star in the area of Estate Planning & Probate.
Mr. Fredkin is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of California, East Bay Trusts & Estates Lawyers and the Contra Costa County Bar Association. He also presents to professionals involved in advanced estate planning and trust and estate administration.
