Erin L. Fraser focuses his practice on taxation, estate and wealth planning, and the administration of trusts and estates. He has assisted clients with innovative estate, income and gift tax mitigation strategies, including domestic and offshore tax compliance, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, and multigenerational wealth preservation. Mr. Fraser has also advised high net worth individuals with sophisticated tax and wealth transfer planning and implementation.
Prior to joining Hartog, Baer & Hand, Mr. Fraser was an associate in the London, England office of a mid-sized international law firm. Mr. Fraser has also worked as a tax analyst at a “Big Four” accounting firm, in the State and Local Tax department of a large international law firm, and on a case for the Department of Justice’s Residential Mortgage Backed Securities Task Force.
Mr. Fraser graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester in 2005 with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Economics. Mr. Fraser obtained his J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 2010, where he was Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Minnesota Journal of International Law. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University in 2014.
Mr. Fraser is admitted to practice in California, New York, and Wisconsin. He is a member of the New York City Bar Committee on Professional Responsibility and a member of the State Bar of California sections on Taxation and Estate Planning. Mr. Fraser enjoys participating in philanthropic organizations and volunteering in his local community. He is an avid supporter of the Tottenham Hotspur (English Premier League) soccer team.
