Leighton A. Burrey focuses his practice on domestic and international estate, gift and income tax planning. He has assisted clients with innovative estate, income and gift tax mitigation strategies, including domestic and offshore tax compliance, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, and multigenerational wealth preservation. Mr. Burrey has also advised high-net-worth individuals with sophisticated tax and wealth transfer planning and implementation.
Previously, Mr. Burrey was an associate at a leading international tax firm.
Mr. Burrey received his B.A., in 2001 from the University of California, Davis, J.D., in 2010 from the University of the Pacific, Mc George School of Law, and LL.M. in taxation with honors in 2013 from Golden Gate University School of Law.
Before earning his Juris Doctor degree, Mr. Burrey was a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. In his spare time, Mr. Burrey enjoys running, flying, and spending time with his wife and two kids.
