Anthony G. Matricciani

Senior Associate

Anthony represents beneficiaries, heirs, fiduciaries, and interested persons in trust litigation, will contests, financial elder abuse litigation, and conservatorship proceedings. Anthony brings to the firm substantial experience advocating for clients in evidentiary hearings and trials, having cross-examined hundreds of witnesses in evidentiary and trial proceedings. He has tenaciously represented clients for nearly two decades in diverse areas of civil and criminal litigation. Aside from trust and estate and financial elder abuse litigation, Anthony has successfully represented clients in administrative law proceedings, contract, tort, and real estate litigation, California Environmental Quality Act proceedings, partnership disputes, and serious and violent felony criminal prosecutions. As a deputy public defender, Anthony developed a special interest in advocating for the especially vulnerable mentally ill and cognitively impaired clients and successfully opposed the government’s attempt to forcibly administer anti-psychotic medications to a client, won the release of a client committed to State hospitals for nine years, and acquired an acquittal to a murder charge against a mentally ill mother accused of killing her child. This experience is especially valuable to Anthony’s clients in conservatorship proceedings. Anthony’s competitiveness, attention to detail, ability to identify and develop winning case themes, thorough preparation, and strategic thinking have helped him achieve excellent results for his clients.
